The Horizontal Wild Meadow Necklace captures lupine leaves and sprigs of late summer sagebrush, captured at the stage when tiny buds cluster along their stems.
Pressed into clay and transformed through lost wax casting, their delicate forms become a handmade metal fossil, preserving the plants and a fleeting moment in the season.
Oxidation settles into the recessed impressions, revealing the layers of leaves, stems and buds across the silver surface. Gold prongs curl gently around the edges like flower petals closing in on themselves at night while a gold bail adds sunlit warmth.
