Please read the store policies carefully before ordering. Ordering from S. Howell Studios means you agree to these terms & conditions.

Made to Order

All S. Howell Studios jewelry is handmade by Stephanie in a tiny studio meaning made to order pieces will have slight variations from the original piece. 

Some made to order pieces have limited quantities due to stone availability. Some stones are an irregular shape making them truly one of a kind. This also means that the stone in your piece will likely have a slightly different shape or size than the one in the photos. If you'd like to see the available stones prior to placing your order, contact me and I'd be happy to send you a photo of the current stone options. If a piece is marked as sold out, it's likely because the stones are no longer carried. Often, the piece can be made with different stones. 

Made to order pieces are often completed within a few days to a week. However, please allow up to 3 weeks for your made to order piece to be completed. All pieces are handcrafted in the order in which they are received. If you need your piece by a specific date or would like an estimate for how long it will take, contact me prior to placing your order.


I don’t currently do customs with one of a kind designs. However, there are a lot of customizations I am happy to make to the existing pieces on my website. If you find a piece you like but there are some simple changes that would make you love it, let’s talk! Here are some of the modifications I’m willing to make but this this is by no means exclusive:

-Chain length

-Chain width

-Silver stone settings instead of gold

-Different stone(s)

-Different earwire

-Changing the orientation

Depending on the cost of materials and difference in labor to complete the redesign, there may be an additional fee. However, often times it works out to be the same as the original piece. Contact me to discuss your ideas!

Note: Redesigns may take slightly longer than the typical 3 week made to order time frame.


All domestic orders are insured and sent via USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail depending on weight. Ready to ship items are usually sent out between 1-4 days from the time your order was placed. If you've ordered a made to order piece, please allow up to 3 weeks for me to make your piece prior to shipping. Please note that S. Howell Studios is currently a solo operation and production times vary. If you need your order by a specific date, please contact me so we can discuss options.

Orders of $250 or more receive free domestic shipping.

International orders are also sent via USPS. Please allow 1-8 weeks for delivery depending on destination.

I want you to LOVE your jewelry! If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you can return the item(s) within 7 days after the order is received. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping and original shipping costs are not refunded. Item(s) must be unworn, undamaged and returned in original packaging. Please contact me to begin the return process and I'll email you a return label.

Once the returned item is received and inspected your refund will be issued to the original payment method. Please note, it can take 5-10 business days for the return to be processed. 

There are no returns on custom redesigns. 


If a piece of jewelry gets damaged, please email me at with a description and photo(s) of the damage. Inquiries will be assessed on a case by case basis and a quote for the cost of the repair will be emailed to you. Some simple repairs will be done free of charge; however the customer is responsible for shipping. Tarnished metal or signs of improper care may prevent me from being able to do the repair (please see the Jewelry Care page). I may not be able to fix certain pieces due to availability of stones or the complexity of the damage and reserve the right to decline any repair request.
